The chairman of the board of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Arkadiy Rotenberg in his conversation with journalist declared that FHR considers the upcoming World Cup as one of the stages of preparation of the Russian national team for the Olympic Games-2018.

“The World Cup is a commercial competition, but not for us, and for those who carries them out. It is necessary for us in our preparation for the Olympic Games. Therefore someone under the terms of the contract will play from NHL there, and we implement part of children that prepared for the Games-2018” — quotes media Rotenberg’s words.

We remind that the World Cup initiated by National league of hockey will take place with the assistance of the International federation of hockey (IIHF) in Toronto from September 17 to October 1, 2016.
